Welcome to our website and thank you for your on-line visit!

Melksham is a lovely market town with a proud history and heritage; some fine historical buildings; and a vibrant town centre hosting many unique and individual shops.

Ideally located in the heart of rural Wiltshire, Melksham has much to offer visitors both as a destination in its own right and as an ideal base to visit nearby locations including Lacock, Bath, Stonehenge, Avebury, Longleat and Castle Combe. The Tourist Information Centre, situated in the charming and historic Canons Square, will be delighted to answer any questions you may have.

Melksham is a wonderful place to visit, live, work and raise a family. We are working together on Melksham Town Council to preserve our heritage and continuously improve our services, facilities, street scene and shopping experience for residents and visitors alike.

Please remember that the Town Hall staff and councillors are there to help in any way we can so, if you think we can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
