Melksham

The website of Melksham Town Council and Assembly Hall

Wiltshire Council has recently completed a Community Governance Review process which seeks to identify and address situations where, over time, communities may expand as new houses are built across the established boundaries resulting in people being in different parishes from their neighbours.

As a result of this process some 4,000 properties in Wiltshire will be encompassed within a different parish boundary with effect from April 2017. In Melksham, realigned boundaries mean that some 800 dwellings to the east of Melksham and to the north west of the town that were hitherto within the boundaries of Melksham Without Parish Council will be encompassed within the Town Council’s boundaries with effect from that date. The Town Council extends a warm welcome to those residents affected by this change.
