Melksham
is in a fortunate position. It is a 'pilot town' within
the South West Market and Coastal Towns Initiative and
has priority access to regeneration funding for five
years. We will seek funds from a number of sources and
will set up a Brokering Table of key funding agencies
to help coordinate this.
Local
authorities and other public service providers will
seek to target their expenditure to address the issues
which are arising from public consultation.
This
plan aims to reflect the economic, social, environmental
and cultural needs of the Melksham Community Area. In
short, anything that will improve the quality of life
for those who live, work or play locally.
